Project
Di Lido Island
Description
A two-story Mediterranean estate on the water in Miami Beach, built around the kind of custom ironwork and millwork that doesn't come out of a catalog, hand-detailed stair railings, a radial iron chandelier hung inside a coffered wood ceiling, arched loggias running the length of the house under reclaimed wood-beam ceilings.
The craft compounds room to room: no two staircases share a rail pattern, no two ceilings share the same detail. That's the kind of project where coordination isn't optional, every custom element has to be resolved before it's fabricated, or it doesn't fit the room it was designed for.
